Update 24H2 Problems with Windows 11 and Windows 10
Numerous users are noticing problems with the 24H2 update in most cases for Windows 11.
Problems with media such as CDs, DVDs and USB sticks, date and clock settings do not allow time zone changes, cameras cause crashes, games do not respond or show incorrect colors with Auto HDR function, ASUS devices say goodbye with a blue screen and cannot install the 24H2 update. Safe-Exam browser does not open, customization applications for images do not respond, the Intel Smart Sound Technology driver has compatibility problems that lead to blue screens.
Updates KB5050009 and KB5050021 interfere with Bluetooth headsets and webcams, among other things.
Error in facial recognition, including Windows Hello .
Microsoft has initially blocked updates for some of the affected devices.
A change in the host memory buffer from 64MB to 200MB causes crashes on SSDs from Western Digital WD and SanDisk. Affected devices include WD Black SN770 NVMe SSD 2TB, WD Black SN770M NVMe SSD 2TB, WD Blue SN580 NVMe SSD 2TB, WD Blue SN5000 NVMe SSD 2TB, SanDisk Extreme M.2 NVMe SSD 2TB .
Microsoft has now corrected some errors with games such as Assassin’s Creed, Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar Frontiers of Pandorra.
Windows Latest writes that several readers have reported that the installation of the update is aborted with the error 0x800f081f. The error states that the source files were not found.
Windows Latest also reports performance issues with Roblox and Leage of Legends.
