Missing read/write permissions

During testing, LinuxMint failed to boot and displayed errors indicating that write permissions were missing.

First, you need to know that Linux mounts the data carrier with the Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) during bootup. If the UUID differs from that of the hard disk that is actually booting, there is no read-write permission.

On the LinuxMint Live DVD, right-click on the desktop as “System Administrator”/“root” and open the boot hard disk in the directories, then open the ‘fstab’ file as a text file in the “etc” directory. Here, it is essential to enter the actual UUID of the hard disk to be booted in the UUID field. Save. Boot from the hard disk/SSD. Done.
